Hello all! Besides visiting Granville Island in my previous Style Steal blog post, I also visited the Vandusen Botanical Garden while I was in the Vancouver area. If you didn’t know, Canada (specifically Victoria) has one the most world-renowned gardens, Butchart Gardens to be exact. Victoria is also a lot heftier of a trip and with only a weekend, we settled for the Vandusen Botanical Garden. This outfit features a pale yellow skirt and a cropped long sleeve off the shoulder top that is beautiful for the summer time.
Vandusen Botanical Garden
Although Vandusen isn’t as well known as the Butchart Gardens, it was actually pleasantly quiet and beautiful! I’ve been to the Butchart Gardens and I know what I can expect with them, however I wasn’t expecting how serene and quiet Vandusen was. Butchart is definitely a tourist spot in Victoria and sometimes it can be so populated that your shoulder to shoulder with people. Obviously, taking some outfit photos won’t do there, but it definitely worked at Vandusen! It was also a Saturday and I was expecting it to be quite crowded. We felt like we had the entire gardens to ourselves! There’s a lot to see and quite a variety of beautiful flowers.
Yellow is making a statement this season!
Yellow has gained a lot of attention as it’s become the most trendy color of the season. This pale yellow skirt is so beautiful and is both not too much of an eye-sore but is definitely yellow. I enjoyed styling this statement skirt with something a little more plain on top, but gave a romantic feel. If I knew how to braid my hair, I would have definitely done so! Paired with these cute but comfortable sandals from Steven Madden, it made the look very feminine.
