Hello all! To start off 2019, I wanted to post an outfit that I wore when I traveled to Japan. Specifically, Shibuya is a picturesque district in Tokyo and is known for the famous crossing, shrines, etc. It might seem weird that I’m wearing a overall dress, but it was actually quite sunny outside.
Meiji Shrine & Shibuya Crossing
Shrines and temples are one of the distinct parts of Japanese culture. Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka all had famous shrines and temples. In fact, Kyoto has over 100 different shrines of varying sizes. It’s truly a must see when visiting Japan and wanting to experience their culture.
Besides the shrines and temples, Shibuya Crossing is one of the places that most tourists see. In my honest opinion, it was definitely over-hyped. In Seattle, there is something similar to this but by Pikes Place Market. The size of it is definitely not the same, but I think what makes people want to go there are the mass amounts of people walking across every time. Luckily, when I was visiting it was a weekday and it was in the middle of the work day. I got lucky and got some amazing shots!
Sunny & Fall Inspired Outfit
Surprisingly, on this day it felt like fall or summer. It was so warm, that I even felt hot in my turtleneck. Luckily, I did see that it was hot and packed a few outfits centered around the heat.
The Free People Rickie Top, is amazing! It is the perfect mockneck top for any occasion. I have this top in multiple colors and the white color is very opaque. I would highly recommend and for $30, that isn’t too bad. Unfortunately, the mini-dress was out of the denim color, but I put the black version below.
