Hello all! Long time no blog post, but I’m back. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been fighting off a cold and an acute lower respiratory infection. I haven’t been up to blogging during that time. It’s been a never ending cycle of coughing, getting no sleep, and coughing some more. Now that I feel some semblance of humanness, I wanted to share an outfit from when I was in Japan! If you didn’t catch the pun in the title, I feature a cute Free People Corduroy Overalls!
Also, check out a blog post that I wrote for Women Travel. It was so great going out of my comfort zone and writing a post for someone else’s blog. I’m so happy that I got this experience!
Kyoto: The City filled with Shrines and Temples
Kyoto is known for having hundreds of shrines and temples through the entire city. My favorite part about this city was how city-like but also rural it felt. There were a lot of buildings that still looked old and then there were skyscrapers too! I got a nice mix of city and small town life.
For these photos, I visited the Fushimi Inari Shrine! They are famous and picturesque with the red arches. unfortunately, I hurt my foot during the trip and couldn’t get to the very top. None-the-less it was great seeing the shrines and taking photos in front of the arches.
Overall A Really Cute Outfit
I still don’t know how I feel about these overalls, but still wanted to post the outfit. At times I felt so cute and trendy, but at the same time a little boy (haha). I’m just glad that I didn’t attempt to wear my trendy fisherman’s hat, I would really look like a little boy then!
Personally, I have a pretty long torso and could have gotten a size smaller, but had to get a size larger to fit my torso. I wish it was bit more form fitting, but I felt it still looked cute. I paired it with my favorite turtlenecks from Free People as well!
