Hello all! I know! I’m posting two blog posts in a span of a week (eek!). I’m trying to post more consistently and more of a variety of types of content. This post however is highlighting a cute outfit that I put together to visit the cherry blossoms at University of Washington (my alma mater) Seattle Campus.
They have 29 cherry blossom trees that were gifted by the mayor of Tokyo in 1912 as a gift of friendship. They are truly a sight to behold and not only do students get to enjoy them, locals and tourist come as well. I hope you all enjoy! If you want, check out my last blog post where I feature a boho festival look for less!
Cherry Blossom Season is here
I chose the perfect weekend to go see the cherry blossoms. They were fully bloomed and I was definitely not the only one that also knew too! The line to buy a parking ticket was so long and took a good 15-20 minutes. This was the first year that I’ve seen it, and it did not disappoint.
These cherry blossom trees were re-planted at the UW Quad from another park in Seattle. Throughout the Seattle area I’ve been seeing cherry blossoms bloom on the sides of the streets. But UW has those beat with 29 trees and the castle-like architecture. It made the entire place picturesque and everyone knew it. I mean, you can just check them out below. I wasn’t the only one being extra and taking photos, everyone else was too!
Free People, stop taking my money
Free People, as I’ve said numerous times, is my favorite brand of all times. Their clothes are both trendy but with a twist. They are the definition of a brand that tries to make their own trends. If I ever want something that will be both flattering and high quality, I always go to Free People. That being said, the top and bottoms are both from Free People. You all have definitely seen me feature this skirt before (pssst, check it out here!), but I wanted to mix the top up. This skirt comes in a set and I’m having so much fun dressing it up and down. This time, I put on an off-the-shoulder top that reminds me of Germany… not sure why but it does.
